The International Day of Women is commemorated since the early 1900’s. 8th March marks the day of celebration. Nations celebrate womanhood, acknowledge and appreciate their contribution on this special day.
Across the world celebrates Women’s Day in various ways. Art performances, network events, awareness campaigns, conferences and marches based on each year’s theme happens throughout the day. Employers organize diverse celebrations in organizations to make it a special day for women employees.

This year’s theme is #PressforProgress. The call is to “press forward and progress gender parity“. The primary objective is to encourage friends, colleagues and communities to be gender inclusive.

Gender parity will not happen overnight. Women across the world are progressing from strength to strength. There are many organisations willing to help and guide women, and provide access to necessary support in overcoming their fears.
