[Savannah, Georgia | June 4, 2019 -] The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance through its charitable fund, Driving Young America teamed up with another local Savannah non-profit, IVolunteer International, after a successful motoring festival in October 2018. Driving Young America provides fundraising, grant awards, and scholarships for automotive oriented education and youth programs of local Lowcountry organizations around Hilton Head, SC, and Savannah, GA. Just like many nonprofits across the world, they were challenged to find volunteers to meet their event needs. The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance is one the of the largest motoring and lifestyle festivals in the country, spanning ten days beginning the last weekend of October in Savannah and ending the first weekend in November in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Fortunately, the Savannah established non-profit IVolunteer International was able to connect local volunteers to help make their event a success.
As a special thanks, the Driving Young America fund granted IVolunteer International $3,000 in support of the development of a geo-connecting volunteer mobile app. The mobile application will accelerate volunteer mobility and connectivity around the world and is scheduled to be launched in early 2020.
“The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance is pleased to support the development of this unique and valuable mobile app. The ability to quickly connect with and manage volunteer resources can be very challenging for organizations, and this app promises to simplify and improve that process,” said Robert Lee, chairman of Driving Young America.
