On Thursday, November 9, 2023, entrepreneurs from all walks of life lined up at the front of the stage at the Delta Innovation Hub at the University of Georgia, geared to make their case (and pitch) for a chance to win the inaugural Truist Community Initiatives Pitch Competition. Truist’s partnership and commitment to excellence, innovation, and economic mobility with the University of Georgia is not new. Through the Innovation Bootcamp and a variety of other programs, Truist continues to contribute and strengthen social and serial entrepreneurship.
A new gift, through the dedication of the Truist Plaza at the Delta Innovation Hub, paved the way for the Truist Community Initiatives Pitch Competition. As seven entrepreneurs from Athens made their pitch, three winners were chosen, IVolunteer International among them.
It was an incredible experience. No pitch event is the same. The Innovation Bootcamp and the mentors I met at the Innovation Hub had suitably prepared me for this moment, so I took the challenge head on.
