SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — A Georgia Southern graduate’s mission is to create 7 billion volunteers.
Nipuna Ambanpola established a tech non-profit organization in 2017 called iVolunteer International, and later this month the company has plans to launch its first mobile app.
“It will identify the user’s live location and show them volunteer projects happening around them in real-time. So that people can volunteer for projects they care about,” Ambanpola, Co-Founder and Executive Director said.
Ambanpola says the app will be launched in Savannah and surrounding counties, and he hopes to expand the app across the U.S. in the next few years.
