Hosted by The Crisis Response Team Sri Lanka
The Community Crisis Response Team-LK was founded by Faraj Farizul and Nivendra Uduman. Their vision is to equip people and communities with skills to be better prepared for crises and emergencies including day to day situations and national level disasters. They have volunteers trained in First Aid/CPR, Psychological First Aid, etc who are ready to respond to call out’s.
The CCRT was active during the Easter Sunday crisis in Sri Lanka, providing psychological first aid via WhatsApp/phone calls and has also responded to the National Hospital on the day of the attacks to provide support to families of those injured/deceased. Their volunteers, in their own individual capacity, have also responded to medical emergencies at their workplaces and other public places, providing first aid.
